Mental Health Meet Ups

A community to discuss challenges and ideas to integrate mental health support into the workplace

These facilitated sessions can be run for your Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) community or for your Mental Health champions or ambassadors within your organisation.

These sessions are inspired by our quarterly free-to-attend ‘MHFA Meet-ups’ where we provide trained Mental Health First Aiders with the opportunity to re-group in a safe, supportive environment in order to cross-share, build confidence in their role as an MHFA’er and gain emotional support.

We know that taking on the role of an MHFA’er (or Mental Health champion/ambassador) can feel like a big responsibility – on top of the usual workload pressures and life demands.

Our MHFA meet-ups encourage a community space for MHFA’ers to meet, share, gain greater knowledge and leave with new actionable ideas to help embed the MHFA service within their place of work.

Each session is 90 minutes long and typically includes:

  • An update on MHFA England work + resources
  • Forum for MHFA’ers to cross-share their MHFA experiences incl. Q&A session with our MFHA instructor
  • Ideation session – to inspire new ideas + ways of embedding MHFA into workplaces
  • A “coaching corner” opportunity for individuals to spend time focusing on their own mental health + wellbeing

We run MHFA Meet-ups for mixed groups every quarter (these are free to attend) and/or can host solus sessions for your organisation.

Past MHFA Meet-ups have covered themes including: burnout, the cost of living crisis, the war in Ukraine and post-pandemic working.
