In a world where the AI era is upon us, burnout is rising and divides are widening – we believe it is more important than ever that we develop workforces filled with “human managers”.

As a manager we have the potential to raise those we lead to their highest potential. And we have the potential to lower those we lead to their lowest potential.

With the right knowledge, awareness, understanding and tools we all have the potential to choose the type of manager we want to be – in order to build safe, inclusive and high performing teams.

Being great at the technicality of our job will get us so far. The key to unlocking the highest potential – in ourselves and others – is by raising our human game.

With employee engagement at a worryingly low 21% – Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace Report 2025 could not give a clearer rallying cry:

“Manager engagement is the key to reversing declining productivity, improving employee wellbeing and unlocking trillions in economic potential. By redefining the role, expectations and support of managers, leaders can create an environment where managers thrive –  and when managers thrive, so do their teams. The choice for executives is simple: Invest in the future of management or risk the consequences of inaction.”

The demands on managers are complex, but the foundation of being a good manager is rooted in meeting the needs of those who follow them.

To meet these needs, challenges (and the underlying fear people are feeling right now), managers need to level up their human skills – they need to help make their teams feel psychologically safe.

Our latest Leadership Report provide the business case for training your managers – through our Raise Your Human Game training.

Taking place in Central London, our two day training experience is designed to help managers lead with confidence and competence, and humanity and humility.
