Julia Phillips Walks the Talk

Episode 3 – Lessons from Leaders with Julia Phillips

Next up in our Walk The Talk – Lessons from Leaders series, we talk with Julia Phillips, Owner, Founder and Event Director of Potting Shed Events.

As always, we encourage you to listen while you walk and we do the talking!

Julia recently launched her latest agency Potting Shed Events in June 2021 and now works with a small portfolio of clients on their event programmes both in the UK and overseas.

This was a special conversation for us as Julia was our first ever client at POINT3 Wellbeing back in June 2018. Five years later we are proud to still be working together.

In this conversation Julia shares the journey she’s been on over the last five years and what’s most important to her in terms of building a business and culture with mental health and wellbeing at its very core.

We discuss burnout, work-life balance, flexibility and how it relates to the events industry now and to the organisations that Julia’s agency works with.

Julia is passionate about creating a culture which promotes prevention, one where her team of mostly women feel supported with relevant ways of working, resources and benefits for them.

Within the conversation Julia references a book and a podcast which can be explored here – How to Buy Back Your Time by Dan Martell and Dr Maryhan, How Not to Screw Up your Kids.

We hope you enjoy the conversation, we certainly did!
