Episode Nine – Walk The Talk
Listen to this special International Women’s Day edition of Walk The Talk where our panel discuss ways to break the bias around gender (and other inequality) in today’s workplace.
Our panel of “international women” share their experiences and their wisdom around the subject of gender equality and other bias and discrimination that they have and continue to experience in the workplace and beyond.
Our guests include:
Miki Maruko, Business Mentor & Life Coach for Female Entrepreneurs
Jurate Puodziukaite, Chief Marketing Officer & Chief Data Officer at MyLoyal
Niru Desai, Chief Marketing Officer, CO2HERO
In this conversation we talk about identity, the difference between fitting in and belonging in the workplace, and ways to help build inclusive workplace cultures beyond just gender.
Referenced in this conversation is a report by McKinsey from December 2021 which cites that women in corporate America are even more burned out than they were last year—and increasingly more so than men. Despite this, women leaders are stepping up to support employee well-being and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, but that work is not getting recognised. Download the report here.
When people feel comfortable being themselves, they truly feel belonging and from there can thrive. So, this sense of belonging is at the heart of the conversation around inclusion. By continuing the conversation around inclusivity and gender bias or other bias, we have an opportunity to help make a difference in the areas of inequality.
