A POINT3 Journal by Sarah Mayo, June 2026
Eight years. How did that happen?!
I’ve been sitting with this question for a while now, staring at a blank screen (as I often do), wondering where to start…
So, naturally, I looked up the significance of the number 8. Turns out, it’s quite the number. Depending on who you ask, 8 can mean balance, new beginnings, abundance, prosperity… and in Eastern cultures, it’s considered the luckiest number of all. Oh, and turn it on its side? It becomes the infinity symbol ∞
Feeling lucky
Reflecting on the last eight years, lucky is genuinely the first word that comes to mind. It’s been a real privilege being on this POINT3 journey – being trusted by our clients and their organisations to train and develop their people. We really don’t take that for granted.
In terms of my personal journey, there’s been so much change since we first set up POINT3 in 2018. We’ve been through a pandemic. I’ve moved house. I’ve lost my Dad. I’ve gained a partner.
It’s been a testing time. It’s also been a magical time.
And it wouldn’t have been possible without one constant. My business partner and friend Nicky. She’s been such a rock – there through the real highs and the desperate lows. I really could not have done it without her. Thank you Nicky for making the work fun and meaningful, for helping me to stress less and smile more, and for pushing me to be a better person along the way.
Change and constancy
In terms of our POINT3 journey, there’s been plenty of change too. We’ve evolved how and what we do for our clients – and we’ve changed as a founder-run business, with Siôn moving on to take on a new challenge with his leadership coaching. We wouldn’t be who we are today without Siôn and we will always be grateful for him.
But whilst we have evolved, what’s remained constant is our mission – to help people to stress less and smile more. And I am as passionate about that now as I was at the very beginning. Maybe more so… because in that time, the world around us feels as though it is struggling more than ever – with stress, uncertainty, division, isolation and illness seemingly rising, not falling. This means what we and others in our space do is needed more than ever before…
To infinity and beyond!
So, here’s to the future – one of infinite possibilities – whilst remaining true to our mission. Helping people to stress less and smile more.
Thank you for your support over the years (yes, you!) – and we hope we can help you again as we continue to evolve, long into the future.
A POINT3 Journal by Nicky Morgan, June 2026
When the three of us stepped out in 2018 as fresh(ish) young(ish) faces ready to embark on a new chapter, cliché as it is, I don’t think any of us could know where the journey would take us…
Certainly where Sarah and I find ourselves operating now is a giant leap away from the “mind + body gym concept*” that Sarah, Siôn and I dreamed up back in 2018. I loved those early playground days of experimentation – not to mention large quantities of branded merch (which are still going strong 8 years later!).
*I still love this concept! It just isn’t our dream to make come true…
Instead, what sat at the heart of concept #1 – to help people to “stress less and smile more” remains ingrained in every facet of the work we do today.
And the work we’re doing today we hope, we believe, we see – is important, necessary, human work – that is needed now more than ever.
Human connection
As I reflect back on the past 8 years, what strikes me isn’t the big picture, the data, the number of clients, the volume of work – it is the tiny moments of human connection that have happened along the way.
It is the leader opening up about their lifetime struggle with public speaking – in turn allowing a cascade of vulnerable truth-sharing to unfold amongst their team.
It is the individual sharing their neurodiversity diagnosis with a group of peers – helping another to feel safe enough to disclose their own.
It is the CEO brave enough to say “I didn’t know that, and I’m listening” – when faced with an uncomfortable truth from their team.
It is witnessing awkward silence tentatively move towards the sound of curiosity and truth as we open up discussions around some of the hardest human subjects like mental health, inequality, burnout and change.
It is having the privilege of watching the energy palpably shift as people feel seen, heard and accepted for who they are – in real time.
It is helping to create these moments of connection that feels most gratifying to me. It’s these moments that we know help the individuals that we work with to “stress less and smile more” – as their workplace relationships become more psychologically safe, deeper and more meaningful. And it is witnessing these moments in turn that help me to stress less and smile more too.
Thank you Sarah and Siôn for taking that leap back in 2018 – and wherever it takes us next… may our stress less smile more* mission help continue to guide us.
*And by the way, didn’t we talk about getting this inked on us one day? Maybe save it for the decade 🙂
