Mindfulness + Movement

The principles of mindfulness and movement underpin everything we do – with both being natural antidotes to the stresses of daily life.

But modern day life means that unless we consciously build both into our daily lives, we aren’t getting the important benefits that they bring.

Regular mindfulness and exercise is proven to increase creativity, productivity and focus, as well as improve overall health and wellbeing, and relationships – at work and at home.

Movement

Most of us know we should be moving more yet 39% (British Heart Foundation Physical Inactivity and Sedentary Behaviour Report 2017) of adults in the UK don’t meet physical activity minimum recommendations, and as many as 13 million aren’t active at all.

While there are endless benefits to our physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing, studies show that people who exercise during the day find they get more work done and take fewer sick days.

One study showed that those that exercise are 33% more motivated and 79% have improved mental concentration afterwards.

Mindfulness

While research is still growing in this area, there is strong evidence to show the effectiveness of mindfulness to health and wellbeing, with results showing positive effects on several aspects of whole-person health, including the mind, the brain, the body, and behaviour, as well as a person’s relationships with others. Mindfulness is also shown to help with a number of conditions, including stress, and anxiety.  

Deep relaxation of the mind is something we rarely allow in our hectic day-to-day lives – and next to never in the workplace. It’s proven that allowing the mind to deeply relax into a nap-like state can improve focus by 54% and productivity by 34% during the working day.

ENERGISING CLASSES

Our workouts combine movement and mindfulness and have been scientifically designed to help reduce stress and re-engage focus.

Our work-ins are dedicated solely to the mind and involve guided relaxations.

At typically 45 minutes long, these experiences have been designed for those professionals on a busy schedule – the optimum length and benefit for healthy hearts and minds – ideal for both in or out of the workplace.
